The purpose of the symposium is to bring together a national and international audience of academic, non-profit, government, and research-oriented professionals to share and gain knowledge on how we can build coalitions to adapt to this changing world and how urban food systems contribute to these solutions.
In 2024, The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) hosts the symposium in Columbus, Ohio. The event includes keynotes, a grower panel, 40 presentations, a reception with more than 50 posters, a choice of 6 tours, and Dinner at Waterman, a unique 261-acre university facility for teaching, research, and community engagement.
As a Land Grant, Carnegie-engaged, urban serving, top tiered research university, Ohio State is uniquely positioned to make powerful and lasting contributions to urban food systems. With a centrally located pavilion at the Hyatt Regency, see how The Ohio State Univesitfaculty, staff, and students engage as one university with other urban food system scholars and community leaders. Multiple Ohio State colleges and centers share urban food system research, education, and community engaged impacts.
